Salomon or the false change maker
A musical tale for five musicians and one cameraman.

Up there in the womb of the mountain, a man tirelessly searches for gold; one day he becomes immensely rich and goes to live in the royal court. But doubt installs itself; has he truly found the gold or is he a false change maker?

What is sure is that he will be condemned and executed. But not long after, a man strangely resembling him enters the country. Might it be him or was some bandit executed in his place?

François Salès camera scrutinises the musicians. The music composed by Henri-Charles Caget or collective improvisations, exploring the imaginary of the text written by François Salès and Serge Desautels.

This trilogy images/music/text and their interaction might have been the conducting line of the shows cycle dedicated to the individual’s destiny facing the mountain: Hannibal, Anna Falque and now Salomon.

In Salomon or the false change makers, the music flows like gold but, should we take for granted all these images that are projected in front of our eyes?

We see what we wish to see, but is the doubt not hither?
